So one part of the costume build that I wanted to try new techniques was the shoulder pieces. I wanted to sculpt the piece, make a mould out of it then cast it in to wearable art. I have no idea how to sculpt, I’ve never done it before, so I asked a very talented friend for help.
Our first step was to figure out a base for the shoulder:
Then we figured out scale and basic dimensions:
After that, David started me off by anchoring the base and sculpting the right side of the piece:
My job after all his hard work was to duplicate his work on the left side of the piece.
